  1. Thx Maurice,,, No guessing game here,,, like to be certain . I will drive her until she dies again,,,then when not starting, I will measure the pump 12V input. Should be pretty easy to diagnose then!
  2. Good point Mike! U seen this at least 3 times? When she did die 3times, it was all at a stop sign,,,she dies at an idle? I've seen this many times with a bad CPS. I'm thinking, a bad fuel pump can kill the engine anytime even while driving? How close is the CPS from my AOS? Possibility its been leaking some oil. Thx
  3. Yeah most likely,,,Chinese knock off! Going with an OEM VDO. http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/WC/131-01090098.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_content=YN&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base&utm_term=1997-2001+Porsche+Boxster+Fuel+Pump+VDO+W0133-1599720+97-01+Porsche+Fuel+Pump+1998+1999&fp=pp&gbm=a&gclid=CKi2_67w_LUCFag7MgodOyoAFw
  4. Thx JFP! Both oreilly, auto zone wants $250 for it,,, made by airtex?
  5. Thx fellas! This pump isn't cheap. Who has the lowest price? Sunset wants $430+shipping.
  6. Next day morning, she started fine but on the way bringing her home (app 20 mins) died again on my driveway! And won't start,,, cool down for a couple hrs then starts fine. Possibly fuel pump gets hot quit working, but works OK when its cool? Plus there is only 2 gals of gas in there. I'm going to put some more gas see if pump runs longer. Thx guys
  7. Thx fellas, no code then again I wouldn't know cuz I can't get her to start. Bad fuel pump is a good possibility as some of uguys know I did ran outcome gas,,, will check the pump.
  8. Thx JFP, she died at the stop light and won't start seems a lot like crank position sensor going out. What is the normal symptom for this? What do uguys think? I had a very similar experience with my Mercedes.
  9. 2000 s , is it possible for the engine to die due to low oil level indicator? Thx
  10. Yes, she has woken up! Don't waste your time Nick,,,at least in my case it Was none of the above. No durametric this point so waited til heard the throttle body engage for about 2seconds, left the key for a minute, off for 10 seconds, disconnected -battery cable for 2days,first try today all gravy. My 2cents on this,,, once you lose your throttle adaption, is very tricky to get it reprogrammed again.
  11. Yup nobody knows what's causing this or what the cure is,,,,,every time your battery goes low or replace one, you need a new throttle assembly? Yeah right! One thing I notiiced is this only happens to MY 2000. A few solved it by cycling the key hundred times, keeping your DME on the bench and reconnecting it,,,I wish I can get lucky like that. Now I don't even get that P1502 code anymore but my air bag light is ON. Maybe it has something to do with the alarm box under the seat. Scanned a few things while she is running,,,throttle stuck at 5% rpm does go over a bit over 2000 scanner still reads 5%. Interesting thing is, intake temp was reading 90degrees when my garage was not even 60 degrees??? Gotta ask this to nick,,, after your 12th time when u heard the motor buzz how long was that motor on for? Any possibility it was just the bad ignition switch perhaps u kinda fixed the tumbler while cycling it.
  12. No cure yet,,, haven't check the fuel pump yet. It does feel a lot like a clogged filter or perhaps my pump is toasted as mikefocke mentioned. I believe these 2000 internal fuel pumps has a sock(mesh) filter,,,hard to clog that I'm thinking. I will check the fuel pressure asap, is there any DIY For doing this? Also waiting to hear Necad's result, I really think this really has something to do with throttle adaption communicating DME.
  13. Problem solved for a few minutes this morning,,, started her up rpm won't go no more than 1500 then, I turned it off, back on for 1 minute, off for 10 sec, pulled it out then she started fine everything back to normal. Took her around the block, running like a champ. Back to the garage shut her off then started ,,,problem came back & still continues. Weird
  14. Thx JFP & logray. Will update soon
  15. Thx, are there identical relays down there? If they are I will swap em around. See what happens.
