Have noticed the air conditioning is not blowing very cold last few times. Maybe a little cold but not enough to be comfortabel when it is hot outside. I'm going to take it in next week. Just wondered if anyone has had this issue and what the fix was? My car is a 2000 C2. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Likely it's in need for a re-gas.

For some strange I cannot myself grasp once the cabin temperature reaches or nears your setpoint the system opens the airflow to the windshield. If you over-ride the system and select dash outlets ONLY it seems to help cooling the passenger cabin dramatically. Cooling airflow to the interior windshield surface is not only a total WASTE it can result in condensation forming on the windshield exterior surfaces. Not a serious problem during daylight hours but at night your forward vision gradually declines.....

My wifes '99 Boxster requires a recharge every summer, in fact I did it last week. The gauge shows the freon level is at the minimum for full level or about 25 psi before I recharge it. This was the same situation a year ago and it seems that I loose a few psi in a year. If I had a major leak I would fix it but 15 minutes time and a couple of $ of freon a year is not worth the $ spent and inconvienence of leaving the car at the dealer.

In one of my previous Mercedes cars I did the mistake to recharge the freon unnecessarily only to realise that what I really needed to have done to improve the air-con system's cooling efficacy was simply to replace the clogged-up pollen-filter...

The same thing just happend to me. I took the car in. They told me its the evaporator. It's going to cost me over 2 grand to fix. It should be ready next week. I will let you know how it goes.

Ain't that the truth ...

Also, I'd check and clean the condensors in front of the radiators. If you don't clean the debris out on a regular basis it can get ugly, and expensive. :help:
