After Market Muffer System

I would like to upgrade my muffler system so that it will have a deeper sound and better performance. Can anyone give me some suggestion? Which after market band I should purchase?

I recently purchased this converted factory muffler from Alex911s on this board. A german firm installs bypass tubes to give more aggressive sound. These can be purchased off eBay. My car is also an '02 S with 9200 miles. I'm anxious to install the muffler to hear the sound in person. I like the fact that this is simply a modded factory piece. Also bought Alex's H & R springs, not to change the subject. Lowered the car about 1.4"; looks and feels much better with the lower center of gravity and more agressive camber after alignment. As soon as I can find time to install the muffler, I will report back.

I read some of other guys posting, they all mention about GHL Muffler, is that a good choice?

Does have one installed, do you like the sound of this muffler?

I've heard that the resonance for GHLs are terrible on the highway. Dansk is a really good muffler with no resonance of the GHL or B&B. Fabspeed sells the Dansk muffler as their own. You can find them on line for about $900 for the Dansk unit.

I think you'll find the GLH is quite loud; if that's OK with you. I was looking for something that would give me a bit more growl under hard acceleration, but not too loud. The best is to go to a Porsche Club event and check out the Boxsters and their various mods. Find one that sounds good and talk to the owner. Sound is all in the eyes of the beholder.

I had a Fabspeed muffler on order for two and a half months. Finally cancelled the order because they could not tell me when delivery would take place. The Fabspeed unit is actually manufactured by Dansk, unlike all their other products, so they have no control over production timing. If you can find one, great. Otherwise, be prepared to wait many months.
