working of PSE

Hi,

I just read the TSB of the PSE pre 02 install and I'm not sure about the way it works!

I know there is switch for opening or closing the bypass valves, but it seems it is speed regulated also?

So I would not be able to open the bypass pipes whenever I want?

Is the post 02 system also working like this ?

I would like to be able to choose to open or cloase the bypass whenever I want, standing in traffic of when I'm drinving, don't want to be restricted!

Is it possible?

And If I don't connect the vacuum hoses the bypass is always open, correct?

Both versions trigger off of vehicle speed to quiet the exhaust (close the bypass valves) between 30-45 MPH. In the post 02 system you can add a switch that will override that cutout or allow you to have full quiet or loud control. By default the (with no electronics/vacuum installed) the PSE bypass is open (loud).

Thanks Loren, could you tell me if the PSE dashs switch exists in glossy black (for a pre 2002 dash)?

Sorry, it only comes in matte black.

are you sure, so there was no such system on pre02 996?

dam, wil have to clearcote the switch then?

No switch until MY02.

The switch is only available in matte black for left side of console or right side of console (LHD or RHD).
