Error Code P1539 on 98 Boxster 2.5

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I just posted this a few mins back but it seemed to have been deleted. So hopefully I am not reposting this. Appologize if it is.

For the past 2 months my CEL has been going on and off so last week I finally took it to deal and have it checked out. The dealer got a P1539 code, Camshaft Adjustment bank II, and reset it and told me to monitor it. The car has been running smoothly and great. They quoted me 1,800 for just labour + parts. What do you think I should do? You think this is simply a bad connetion issue or an actual solenoid or actuator issue like the follow link:

Please advise. Appreciated it.

Frank,

Frank - it was deleted because this is the second post on the same topic. Please re-read the Board Guidelines/Rules. Double posting just wastes everyone's time and resources. I am closing this post so all the replies will be in one place.

I replied to your previous post.
