New Owner with 3 questions; Rad Fans, Trans and Oil

Hi, this is my first post, and I am picking up my new baby tomorrow from the mechanic. I cannot wait and no doubt today will be a sleepless night... :jump:

I bought it a few days ago, and it's been at the shop to get the front bumper (OEM GT3) resprayed as well as the major service. I also need to replace both radiator fans, and mounts. Has anyone here done this themselves? I am an enthuthiastic DIY'er so some DIY links... maybe part no's and part price would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I had an e39 M5 before this car, and I had used Royal Purple transmission oil and gear oil. They are GL 5 aproved, has anyone tried Royal Purple on their cars?

And finally, I am thinking about a B&M Short shift kit, am I on the right track?

Why do you need to replace both fans and mounts? Was the car damaged in an accident?

I have not used Royal Purple so I do not know if it meets Porsche's approval. Porsche uses a 75W-90 synthetic gear oil (like Shell Transaxle or Mobil 1) in the 6 speed transmission.

I've had a B&M short shifter in my car for 6 years. I would not go back to the standard shifter and even Porsche now offers a short shifter option (that looks exactly like the B&M - except it is a different color).

You would need to tell us exactly which parts you need to give you part numbers and prices.
