Rear relay carrier location

Does anyone know where the rear relay carrier is located on a 996 Carrera 4 2001?

There are two relay carriers.

On a coupe the are under the dash (near the fuse box) and behind the rear seat panel under the rear window. The relay carrier is accessed by removing the bolts and lifting the DME/relay carrier panel.

On a Cab the second one is next to the top control in the service panel behind the seats.

Thank you Loren. For a first timer the only thing I would add to the pix are that the carpet panel removes much like a mat that is tucked down along the corners. It is not held by anything like a screw or clip - just get ahold of it and pull it out. Then the BOSE brackets must be removed and the strut just unbolts like normal.

I have a 2000 Cab4. My check engine light shows codes P0410 and P1411. I am trying to access the rear relay to check the fuse. I removed the panel behind the rear seats. Did not see a relay panel. Is it under the carpet on the driver's side back seat?

If you removed the rear panel, you will see the metal plate as shown in Loren's second picture. The relays are bolted to the underside of that metal panel.

Kind of hard for me to see what's going on in that picture you have in the .pdf. I have edited Loren's photo and drawn a black down arrow showing you where the relays are. If you just unscrew this panel (should be held on by just a bolt or two) and flip it over then you will see what's shown in my second picture. I have circled the fuse you are looking for in red.

The DME for the Cab is behind a panel under the rear window/top.

You will need to put the top in service position.

The arrow in the last photo is pointing to the cab top control module - the DME is the silver box at the far right.

I found it! What you are seeing in my picture is the roll bars that automatically deploy in a cabriolet when the car rolls over. I can see the relay behind the roll bars. I can't see the fuse but assume it is there. I am not sure how I will get to it. I don't want to remove the roll bars. I will look tomorrow when I have some light.
