Just installed these tyres.Noticed that they don't have the "N" porsche approved mark.

Just "extra load" mark.

Is this normal?

Anyone with Michelin ps2 tyres, do you have the N mark on your tires?

thank you

There are PS2 tyres with and without N-rating. Not all Porsche sizes (pre 9X7) are available in PS2 with "N". In such cases, if you insist on Michelin, you either opt for PS2 without N, or Pilot Sport "Rib" with N.

PS2 are considered more advanced than "Rib" and for this, some say worth sacrificing the N mark.

Thank you for your reply.

Any experience with the ps2? Are they any good? Some say they are some not, it's a hard choice.

I have the PS2's on both my Carrera Coupe and on my wife's 2001 Audi A4 quattro. In my humble opinion they are the best tires I have ever had, hands down.

Excellent traction on both wet and dry roads. Tires need to be warmed up prior to "spirited" driving for maximum adhesion, as is typical of performance tires.

Prior to the PS2 I had the Pirelli Assymetrico Rossos on the Porsche. They totally sucked and wore out too quickly.

I have the 996 TT. Many complained about the soft walls and the bumpy feeling of the ps2. Did you experience such things?

I have PS2's on my TT (N-rated on the rear and Xload on the front) and I've complained about the softwalls albeit great adhesion but apparently thats how they are... the best advise I can give you is buy the new Yoko Advan Neova AD07 instead which were designed with Porsche and Lotus in mind (they're actually OE fitment for Lotus). They in between a street tire and a DOT race tire. Stiff sidewall, ultimate grip and are labeled as Extreme performance tyre instead of the usual Max performance tire by Tire Rack.

Some of the PS2s are N rated (mine are). I agree with kiko..I'm going to try the yokos next.

Yoko's NEOVA(AD07) is not too bat when you go under 230km/h.

But if you wanna go faster, you'd better not to choice them.

Would you please elaborate on this?

The yokos are "W" speed rated, signifies a maximum speed capability in excess of signifies a maximum speed capability in excess of 149 mph, 240 km/h... I think the Pilot Sports are "Y" rated meaning the top speed of the tire has been tested in excess of 186 mph, 300 km/h.
