Last week I cranked up the '04 C4S Cab and the radio came on properly but without sound. Well, except for a high pitched whistle. Display was fine. Just no true audio. All memory settings and stations were fine.

Turned off the car, restarted, radio was fine again.

Happened again last night. Turning off just the radio won't solve it. But turning off the car, then back on a minute later, seemed to.

I'm sure it's a head unit replacement issue, just wondered if anyone has had this happen.

Thanks.

This happened to my radio too. I have the upgraded Bose system and all I got was the visual display, but no audio. I brought it in under warranty and they first changed the headunit (last year). It acted up again this year and they recently "upgraded the amp" and/or the amp's software.

So far so good.

Thanks. Yes, I'm on head unit #2 also, same upgraded Bose system. Just had some info passed along from someone in the know (vendor related), and it sounds like an amp replacement. I'm going to dig a bit to see if they can upgrade the system using the CDrom as well.

Thanks!
