I have a 00' 2.7L I was poking around in the pass. footwell and there was what appeared to be a small speaker hanging under the dash. I just bought the car a month ago. I thought it might be a alarm speaker, but any ideas would be great! Thanks

My guess is that someone has removed a car telephone kit - and forgotten that speaker!

Definitely looks like a speaker from a car phone hands free kit.

Any idea how I "re-install" that? I have bluetooth, does that make a differance?

It's not part of the factory hands free kit. The factory option plays through the cars speakers. The speaker is the type that would have been installed by a cellular dealer. There would have been a charging cradle mounted somewhere near the center console and a transceiver mounted under one of the seats. Most likely the previous owner would have taken everything else and just forgot the speaker. These kit's didn't work well in convertibles and you would need one compatible with your phone. If you have a bluetooth headset, I would stick with it. You can hear okay with them with the top down. I usually put the windows up, if I need to use the phone, to help cut down on wind noise. Most of the blue tooth headsets have good noise cancellation.

I was right, its a HFS-12 from the Nokia car kits, most likely the CARK-91.
