Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing this guys steering wheel over the internet. he claims that it does not have an airbag but has the 3 spoke wheel and 3 spoke cover. Can I fit my 4 spoke airbag into the 3 spoke cover and use the 3 spoke steering wheel?

To clarify, I currently have a 4 spoke wheel. I plan on purchainsg a 3 spoke wheel with the 3 spoke center cover. he says he doens't have the 3 spoke airbag in the wheel (is that possible to have just the cover and not the airbag? I thought they were attached!) Either way, can i pull out the airbag out of mine and stick it in there?

THANKS SO MUCH LOREN!!!

Have no idea what a 3 spoke cover is. Have him send you a picture of this cover and post it here. I guess he could have taken the air bag itself out of the unit but that would be a strange thing to do.

The air bag on a 4 spoke is different than a 3 spoke. Jeff

the cover looks just like the pic you posted. i.e. it has the crest and everything. the steering wheel with the cover looks identical. i guess what i'm trying to say is that from the exterior it looks like a full steering wheel. he says there's no airbag though. does that mean that it is possible that the steering wheel can look fine from the outside but have the airbag missing in the inside?

I will have a stock, black 3 spoke airbag for sale in about 2 weeks. It is from an '03 996 Targa. I'm replacing it with one that has a leather cover. If you're interested in this one, let me know.
