Does the green cc indicator come on when you press it? Does it just not hold the speed when you push the rod forward to set speed?

On my previous car, the CC would not keep speed sometimes. It went away with some fuse pull in and out. Check it carefully and swap with another fuse if you have to. If it's always bad, I would suspect something wrong with the cc module.

cruise control worked but now does not . fuse is good. any ideas or points to check?

thanks, john

Check the plunger switch located at the top of the pedal. Pull the plunger outwards so it is pressed in when the pedal is in the up position.

Make sure all the brake lights are operating. When I put LEDs in the high mount brake light the cruise wouldn't work until I added a load resistor.

thanks guys! Green cc indicator comes on when ignition first turned on but when car is started it goes out and won't come on when button on stalk is pressed. no functions on the stalk work. all brake lights are working. I have swapped fuses. is the plunger that was mentioned, on the brake or clutch pedal, or elsewhere? thanks for the feedback

Like 1999Porsche911 says, check the switch on the clutch pedal is working. Cruise won't set if the switch is operating. The switches have a habit of moving in the mounting bracket, and the system could think the pedal is depressed when it is not.

Got the green indicator to come on by adding a plastic spacer against the plunger. None of the stalk functions will work however. Any other ideas?
