I just received a kit from Becker/Harman for having the stereo mute on my 2006 Cayenne when the phone rings, and it came with 2 keys for removing the radio, but no description of how to remove the trim or what exactly those keys are for.

I saw pictures of the radio in the dash without the trim, but there was no step-by-step instructions.

Can some one please provide me with guidance?

Thanks!

You do need to remove the trim on the Cayenne.

Use a small screwdriver and carefully pry around trim until it pops off. Next I unscrewed the temp module just slightly to give more freedom of movement. Then I used a collar stay to act like the becker tool to remove the radio.

Thanks.

I removed the trim and removed the radio without use of those keys.

I looked at the connector block from Becker and it looks like I wasted my time and money. The connector block they supplied does not connect to the back of my CDR23- there is no opening as it is taken up by the connector already in that block spot- it's a 1 piece connector with only a couple of wires installed.

I'll call Becker in the morning and see what they have to say.

Additionally, the other wire is supposed to connect to my mute trigger on my phone? What mute trigger? I have a Motorola E815. How do I connect to this product?
