GT2 Front End on 2k2 Targa

First and Foremost: HAPPY NEW YEAR & Safe and Fun Motoring!

I just came from a local dealer who advised that they had a GT2 front bumper for a reasonable price HOWEVER all the additional items (HARDWARE, Bottom Lip, etc) would amount to MORE than the Bumper itself!

I am really interested in putting on this front end (1/2 staff thought it would fit and the other 1/2 swore it would not) on my 2002 Bi-xenon Targa.

My Questions:

1. Would a GT2 front bumper fit my 2k2 Targa (w/out "headaches" -it will be done by a reputable bodyshop of course)

2. What Parts do I actually require??

3. What is the "total" approximate cost?

4. Are there sources (US) State Side that are recommended

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED AS ALWAYS.

Lap, from the pics I have seen with this mod, I would say the 2002 GT2 front bumper cover would fit a 2002 996. In addition to the cover the main costs would be obviously painting the cover (I'm guessing $500); changing or cutting back the front bumper mount. The mount for the TT nd GT2 has to be shorter because of the way the grille holes are set up. The shorter mount is around $300. Or you can have the stock bumper mount cut back. I also believe you would need different "eyebrows" for the GT2 bumper vs the stock. Off hand I do not know of any other pieces o/t the different grille inserts. Hope this helps. :)
