OK, so let's say you have a 997 console, and the lighter is in. The console is removed from the vehicle completely (no power), and the lighter is pushed down into the slot.

How can it be easily removed without damage? :unsure:

Apply 12V to the lighter socket? Not sure Eric, I have never used my lighter...

The BMW lighter will simply pull out, even if depressed (heating). Not sure how the 911's lighter "locks in" to the socket when heating.

I think 12v would be the least destructive method.
