Airbag light/drivers side seatbelt fault

I took my Drivers side seat out to install the PSE electrics and a RemoteTop module. Had the power on a few times to test circuits so I expected the airbag light. Diagnosed it with the Durmetric tool (to replicates the PST2 tool) which had cleared up my list airbag light fault from changin ghe steering wheel. This time it showed the drivers seat belt fault. I know this is a common fault/problem.

Does anyone know of a way to determine if the seat belt/contact is actually faulty (i.e. test the circuits)? I would like to be sure before I order the repalcement/upgrade parts.

It is a 50 - 50 chance it is just the buckle and not the ground wire connections. The buckle wears the most but a bad ground can cause the same fault. See the airbag light/seat belt buckle TSB.

I replaced the buckle only for a Boxster guy and so far no more airbag lights. So somtimes you get lucky...
