this is the second occurrence. The first was on Jan 3, '06. A new fuel pump was installed and all worked well.

With less than 1,000 miles since then, the car again cranks but will not start.

On both occasions it was a first start of the day. The car actually caught, then died.

I've heard of zero fuel pump issues with Boxsters, and believe my issues are somewhere else in the fuel delivery system. I'm thinking a electronic cut-off of some sort in the system.

Any thoughts.

Oh by the way I think somehow the system may have re-set, for lack of a better word, when the new fuel pump was installed in January, making it seem an appropriate fix.

Hi,

Have you checked for ECU codes?

You could try completely disconnecting the battery for a little while and reconnecting. This will reset the ECU.
