Hello,

I have a 2000S with about 30k miles on it.

Recently I have been a bot disappointed by the car breaking performance under hard braking, and since I still have the original pads and a first track day scheduled on Thursday I decided to change my pads.

I installed Pagid blues on the front axle. I zip tied the sensors since there is no hole in the pads.

Now I did not reinstall the "vibration dampers" that are glued to the back of the pads, I remembered reading somewhere to trash them. My new brakes do squeal at low speed. Should I have reinstalled teh vibration dampers with my new pagid pads?

Thanks in advance for the reply

When I swapped pads out for my first track event with the car, I left them off using Pagid Orange race pads. When I went back to stock pads I did not use them and have never looked back. You don't need them and they are a PITA. I have not noticed that much extra noise without them. I am totally happy wiithout them. I also cut my sensor wires at the connector and soddered the two wires together and plugged the connector back in. So I don't ever have to mess with those stupid wear sensors. You can see how much pad material easily looking thru the wheels.

Since I will be switching from race pads to stock pads often, I felt it necessary to get rid of the noise dampers and wear sensors. I am very happy without them.
