I live in Canada and have found a pre owned 997C2S in the U.S. I am familiar with the export import process but would like to know if it's straightforward for a dealer to do a daytime running light conversion, imperial to metric etc. Is this something that is software driven via PIWIS or am I looking at hardware changes?

TIA,

Eric

I have in my failing memory bank that the owner can turn on daytime running lights if the car has PCM. I do not remember if they can be turned on with the PIWIS if the car does not have PCM.

I can confirm that running lights can be activated by the owner in a 997. The option is available on the PCM menus, and I have activated it successfully.

Owner control only with Sport Chrono option - otherwise dealer.

About to go through the same process myself. Anyways, Imperial/Metric conversions through the PCM, DRL if you have Sports Chrono, otherwise like stated, the dealer can do it for you.
