My car clunks in the right rear. It clunks on smooth roads, freeway, coming off freeway, without accelerating, coasting in neatrul and accelerating. It does not clunk all the time, just rarely. I scheduled an appointment for this weekend, but I am trippin off this. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sounds like maybe a loose rear swaybar.

I get the same clunking sound, but on the left rear (driver's side).

Beverly Hills Porsche misdiagnosed the sound twice. First, they said it was a loose swaybar. The second time they said it was some part connected to the emergency cable assembly, and that it could not be fixed.

I took the rear left wheel of and saw nothing.

This weekend I might go there again with a soft mallet :D

Let's keep eachother informed.

Could be the anti-roll bar drop link - they are notorious for the joints wearing. I had this problem on the front of mine.

Hello,

It could be a cracked bracket on the tail-pipe.

Just had mine replaced at the dealer.

It was making me nuts!
