does anyome know where the factory amp is located on a 2001 996 cab 4? thank you

In the trunk, passenger side, near the CD player is a plastic cover (sorry I don't have a picture). One screw and a few clips (careful you can break them off easily) and you can remove it. Underneath is the amp.

Here is a picture of the amp location on my '99 C4. The wires you see are the wiring harness that plugs into the front of the amplifier.

I need a new amp for my '04 turbo cab. I just found a used one on ebay for $130 and ordered it. Is the amp in the same place in the turbo cab as on other 996's? Should I attempt to replace this on my own? If it's where I think it is (hidden under CD player) it is really tight in there. And what is in there looks too small to be an amp. This looks like classic biting off more than I can chew.

Thanks!
