 I just bought a 2001 996 C4 and want to change it's oil before putting up for winter. It is so much different than my 89 911. I take it the pan underneath is the oil pan and the filter is under there too? Is the filter all in one or does center element come out? What viscosities are best during winter (I live in mountains of Colorado)

Thanks

You might want to re-consider changing the oil in the Spring (or when ever you take the car out of storage), rather than before going into storage....

Just my $.02

cheers,

These DIY's are awesome. Does anyone have one for an Oil Change on 2001 996 Turbo? The pictures listed for non-turbos do not look the same for the turbo. Thank you!

Near the bottom of the page are DIY's for GT3, TT and GT2.

The Oil Change for Turbos is here
