Check Engine Light

Help!!!!

I took my 1999 Boxster into the dealer to have the "check engine light" problem repaired prior to a smog test. I have done 150,000 miles and so far had almost no trouble with the Boxster. The dealer came up with the following codes:

1. P1115

2. P1117

3. P1118

4. P1119

5. P0102

Any ideas on what the problem could be!!!!!!

P0102 says your MAF sensor is unplugged or not working the rest are O2 sensors reporting the problem.

P1115 Oxygen Sensor Heating 1 After Catalytic Converter - Above Upper Limit

P1117 Oxygen Sensor Heating 1 Behind Catalytic Converter – Below Lower Threshold

P1119 Oxygen Sensor Heating 2 Ahead of Catalytic Converter - Below Lower Limit

P0102 Mass Air Flow Sensor - Below Lower Limit

If you join Renntech as a contributing member you get access to the codes. Your P0102 code indicates a faulty Mass airflow sensor most likely but it could also be the connector or faulty wiring. This as I understand can also cause the P1115 error code. The codes p1115-9 could also be caused by a faulty O2 sensor(s). I will let Lauren or Tool Pants confirm. You will still need to get the CIL cleared at the dealer. Also in the future you can use the search function to search this web site for error code information.

Thanks for the assistance. It turned out to be a loose connection to the MAF!

I have the same problem. I visually checked the MAF connection wires, cleaned the MAF, reset the code and the problem came back almost immediately. I replaced the MAF and the problem came back (after several hundred miles).

Which connection(s) were bad? The wires going into the MAF plug or the other end (wherever that is)?
