seat heater not working

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd ask the experts....

20001 996TT, driver's side heated seat not heating. Switch flashes red when pushed but does not stay red and does not heat seat. Passenger side working fine. Already checked the fuse which was fine. I was going to try and replace the switch as my next move. Sound like a reasonable approach? Anybody know the part number?

Thanks in advance,

Sameer

You realize the seat memory and seat heater uses two fuses (per seat)? - A6 and E3 for the left hand seat.

Other than a broken wire there is just the seat heater pads and the switch.

Loren or any other Expert,

I checked both fuses and they were ok. Additionally I replace the switch and it still does not work. I read in another thread that the seat heating element may be at fault. Any idea how I can test this or even repair it?

Thanks

Sameer
