Hello guys,

I searched through all the forums, but didn't find a related article. My apologies if I missed it.

I'm planning to have an invisible bra installed on the new Cayenne this weekend. A couple of friends suggested I wait a couple of months to let the paint settle so as to avoid creating bad spots from where the bra will be.

Is this true? I have had the car for about 4 weeks now.

Thanks!

Peter

The old recommendation was to wait at least 90 days to have paint

cure and gas out. Driving in the rain helps the process, supposedly.

However, this was for the solvent based paints, and I don't know

whether P's now uses water based paints, clear coats, and what the

rules are for those. Best to ask the installer what they recommend.

This does not apply to N. American models, as Loren states. Also, the solvents that are used in laquers and clearcoats cure much faster than ever before. You're fiine.

I had all my cars put on as soon as they came out of the dealership. Have it protect asap before any chip dents.

I putted mine the day when I pick up my Cayenne S. I drove all the local road to my house before calling Clear Armor to install it for me.
