i have been thinking about lowering my 996 c2 for some time now. i was looking around and saw h&r and eibach springs available from tirerack. price for eibach is 348 and h&r is 324. this is street car and i might take it to track few times a year. car has less then 6k miles and stock shocks are in great shape.

here are some of my questions.

which spring is better? eibach or h&r?

should i get sway bar with the springs? and if yes which one?

who has the best price for springs and swaybars?

what other options do i have?

i'll be getting some 19" wheels for my car this week and i would like to get these parts before i get my new wheels.

thx guys

I'm quite happy with my H&Rs. Went with them after riding with another instructor that had them on his 996. My car was lowered about 3/4" all around. Just enough to lower center of gravity, but not enough to cause problems going up and down my driveway. My next step is to go with the H&R sway bars. I found my set on the web along with the M030 shocks. Shop around on Ebay since they usually come up... You can see my car at http://basketcasemotorsports.bravehost.com/ some before and afer shots. Good luck! Lou

take a look at TechArt, they are able to offer sportsprings with 25mm lower and that's are very good alternative for both on the street and on the race track.

cheers,

Tony
