:help:

The Check Engine Light is on. Again.

My OBD tester says the CEL is P0103

MOD$11

MAF

A

Circuit High Input

Bentley says it is Porsche DTC 115. I have a 2000, 2.7. I had a P1130 several weeks back, without the P1128. Is the MAF shot? Any other thoughts? If Bad, Is there a place to get less expensively?

P0103 Mass Air Flow Sensor - Above Upper Limit

- Short circuit to B+.

Did you recently install a K&N or BMC oiled air filter?

A new MAF will run you about $240 from Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost).

I installed the EVO V-Flow w oiled filter on my 99 C2 and 6 months after install got a CEL that read bad MAF and dealer lectured me about using aftermarket air intake. It voids warranty on new MAF.... 100 miles later and symptoms that caused CEL are back. Bad hesitation over 5K rpms. No CEL yet because I back off the throttle when I feel the hesitation. Hard to believe that new MAF would be bad. I haven't yet purchased a code scanner but I am considering re-installing stock air intake to see if problem goes away. Questioning whether or not mod is worth it.

I did not do any special changes. I did however, replace the stock filter. With another stock filter. This after I got the P1130 code several weeks back.

I pulled the MAF today. I have the old 996 606 124 00 model.

Should I upgrade to the 996 606 125 01 model?

If I do, must the ECU be updated as well?

Can I get either version from another supplier? $250.00 seems really pricey. Yeah, I know, be happy Its not a Ferrari. B)
