Litronic Module

Recommended Posts

I've installed both left and right Litronic headlights into my 2000 Boxster S. I managed to find relatively reputable sellers on fleabay and was able to purchase them both for a grand total of $675 including shipping. Beware of the disreputable sellers out there - I think many of the Litronics on fleabay have been stolen or are otherwise incomplete.

Anyway, Toolpants or Loren, can you please tell me the part number for the module that will cause the low-beams to tilt up by 3 degrees when the high-beams are activated?

Sincerely,

Gundo

Wow! $675 seems quite high. When I did the litronic upgrade in my car I sold the electronics (module, etc.) to another member here on Renntech for $100.

Umm, I paid $675 for both litronic headlights. BTW, the "retail" price of the litronic module is $193.90.

Loren - thanks for the advice - the TSB is perfect and has every bit of info I need. It is absolutely fantastic that you host them!!

Didn't understand your post then. It sounded like you were looking for the module and you said you could secure it on eBay for $675.

I know what the retail price is of the module since I sold it to antother member.

Best of luck on your search.

Thanks - I can totally see why you'd throw a post in - $675 for the module is WAAAY too much. Thanks for trying to save me some cash :notworthy:

My real question is whether or not the tilt function is even worth it. I guess you decided it wasn't...

If you want to do some research you can see the Bosch part number for the control unit for the beam rotation, 0 307 870 007. I took this picture in 2003 because a guy asked me for the Bosch part numbers for the headlights and the control unit. He worked for Bosch and could get a discount. Turned out Bosch had sold the automotive headlight division. Do not know if the control unit is specific to Porsche.

The white sticker is the Porsche part sticker I pulled back. The actual part number is 996 618 151 15, but 000 044 900 38 is on the sticker and listed in the TSB.
