Hey Loren,

Its for a 99 C4 with a about 23K miles on it. I know it isn't necessary yet but its been about 4 years. What do you think about using Mobil 1's automatic transmission oil? Im happy with their perfomance and was thinking about using it.

Porsche recommends only:

999 917 547 00 Esso ATF LT 71141 – 20 liter container (an ATF change is only 3.5 liters)

with this warning

Using non-approved transmission oils or ATF can lead to excessive wear and damage to the transmission. Failure to do so can result in rejection of the warranty claim if damage is due to use of non approved fluids.
Draining, changing the filter and refilling, warming up and topping off are all required with an ATF change. I'll send you an email and you can see if this is something you want to tackle.

The MY02 and new is more complex because of design changes.

"Design changes" is a bit of an understatement. MY02 has a Mercedes-Benz 'box (A96/50). :D :D :D

Cheers,

Uwe
