Hi, I haved the back of my 99 C2 opened up checking on a coolant leak and well the serpentine belt look very cracked on the ribbed side so I am wanting to change it. Is there anyone who can tell me if there are any special precautions with aligning any pulleys I should be careful for? Or does anyone know of a DIY on this? Also how to find the part #? Thanks and Happy New Year!

I've done it. It's easy. I don't remember there being any special precautions at all. It just takes some time to get the air filter housing and related stuff out of the way. Also, I think I used a 1" combination wrench (which works out to 25.4 mm), instead of a 24 mm wrench/socket like the DIY says. I can't remember if the 24 mm didn't fit or what. The 1" combination wrench was big enough to give me good leverage against the main pulley tension.

Thanks for the help guys :clapping:

It took me all of 8 minutes to do the full job less re-instaling the airbox. I had the same issue wit not having a 24mm, but it equates to a 15/16ths and all was well! Also did some cleaning, and well now I am trying to complete the original reason I noted this needed replacing. How do I get the coolant out of this engine???

:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: you guys rock!

Congratulations ViolaGT3.

Maybe it was a 15/16's that I used . . .

I have no clue about how to drain the coolant.
