Thanks to you all for tips, instructions, pictures and encouragement to do a DIY clutch replacement on our 02 Boxster S (50K miles). The project was successful and the clutch feels like a new car! We caught it just in time before any flywheel damage was done. The disk was down to the first rivet and the disk material encrusted the inside of the housing along with the throwout bearing shaft.

Great news -- no RMS leak !

The encouragement of adsach's writings on this forum was the deciding moment to do the project.

The pictures from toolpants and instruction sheet from Tom were invaluable.

The various bits of info from Loren on this forum helped tremendously.

Also, the resource material from porschelibrary completed the job.

You are all a great asset to this forum and to those of us who may read more often than write.
