I just purchased the aerokit II side skirts for my 2001 Boxster S. They did not come with the installation kit. The place that sold it to me said it just uses double-sided tape and metric fasteners you can find at the hardware store. I called Brandywine Porsche and they said the install kit is $140 and also has some "metal strips" to support the aerokit.

Does anybody have any experience with this?

Do I need the metal strips?

Are the fasteners unique to Porsche, or can I get them at a hardware store?

What kind of double-stick tape should I use (will the foamy kind be too thick)?

Thanks, Spiral

Hello,

sorry but I can't help you but I'm interested buying sideskirts too.

I wonder how yours look like because I've a hard time finding the right ones.

Perhaps you could place a picture for me?

I also want to place them myself because I think it should not be a hard job to do but need as much information as possible.

I hope you find your answer and maybe share it on this site.

With regards,

D-Dreamer (the Netherlands)
