I just finished removing the dashboard off my Boxster, I throught it could be a very hard task. I am not a expert on fixing/reparing car, I just interested in making my car looks better. Last month I decided to upgrade my car interior component to Arctic Silver color, so I start removing all the interior component that came in factor black color off the car and send them to paint shop. But when I try to remove the airbag strips, I damage some sport on the dash, which require me to hire someone to fix the dash leather for me. If I know that removing the dash is not that difficult, I could remove the entire dash out and then remove the airbag strips screw at the back instead of pulling them out by force.

If anyone want to remove their dashboard that require any information, please feel free to reply to me.

I find that even with the Porsche workshop mannual is not explaning the process in too detail, some steps are missing on mannual and I can provid you the missing puzzle.

Since we supply painted interior parts, we often supply full instructions on removal, installation as well.

Dash strips have a long history, and in fact a fabulous writeup on this site for a very easy removal without damaging your dash.

Best of luck with your project.

I have done some work on my 964 and I agree that the workshop manuals are not complete. However I have found that by using the dealer PET which has exploded views of every system, shows every part where it goes, how it comes apart and details every model, every year, and every version ( as opposed to the PDF version that deletes alot) it is easy.

If you want the dealer PET email me..
