Door rattles

Recommended Posts

I notice several rattles in my Cab as I drive over bumps and rough pavement. I have seen that thier may be a few fixes such as replacing some rubber in the window well or maybe some door gromets. Does anyone have any thought or should i get used to it.

Most commom cause of rattles in the doors over bumps is the speaker is loose. Over time the screws holding the speaker in back out, then the speaker clunks around. Porsche released updated speednuts for the door speaker.

Hello,

Had exactly the same problem. I' m allergic to noises in my car I can't trace. I also had problems with my windshield which at times makes noises which seem to be coming from the dashboard. Bought some kind of fluid at my local Porsche dealer. Back to the rattle in the door. In my case it was only one loose screw that caused the noise. Applied some glue to the screw while tightening it. Problem has never re-appeared. Had to remove the door panel. The entire job took me about 40 minutes. There is information on this forum how to remove the doorpanel. It really is a piece of cake.

Good luck hunting down the rattle.
