I am currently in the process of installing a PPC into my Boxster. So the AC needs to be relocated to where the lower storage tray is. I don't seem to be able to pull out the trays easily despite warping the plastic quite extensively as I pulled. Is there anything holding them/it in beside clips? What's the trick to getting the tray out?

You need to pull out the top storage bin before you can pull out the bottom bin. They are just a friction fit. You might need to remove one of the side trim panels so that you can put the tray out from the back.

Thanks TP. I pulled with more confidence and out it came just like that. The whole PPC install is almost complete after 1 day.

#13 is the side trim panel I mentioned. If if cannot pull the bin out from the front then I remove a panel and reach my hand around to the back of the bin and push the bin out.

Thanks for the tips guys. The trays came out quite easily once I knew there's nothing holding them back.

The install is almost finished. Here's a pic.
