For those that are looking to install Bluetooth into their Cayenne with the CDR-23 or the PCM, it is an easy install. If you contact Becker USA in NJ you can order the phone install wire harness. It will have two inputs for the radio. One is the mute wire that will tell the radio to mute, the other is a audio input that will play the phone audio through one of the front speakers. My Motorola Bluetooth kit had an external speaker that I cut the wire, and spliced on the wire from the Becker kit. The only other thing you have to do is to programme the radio (in the manual) for phone use.

I put the module under the pass footwell, and got power from the right side fusebox. Took 30 min to install.

BTW...the Becker kit is less than $25

Which Motorola kit did you install? The HF850 or the IHF1000? Also, did you notice any alternator whine in the handsfree phone system audio?

I have used both the 850 and the 1000. Definitely spend the extra money for the 1000. It allows full voice commands including dialing, so you don't need to have access to your phone. It also supports caller id by announcing the incoming number through your speakers. I have posted pictures of my install under the 996 forum on Rennlist.

This gallery includes Becker part numbers and images.

I just ordered the kit yesterday afternoon. What method did you use to get power off the fuse box?

I am not into spending the$ for a kit and hope that the mic on the phone is worthy enough for the calls. Anyone hookup a mic without spending $200 for a blue toothkit?

Thanks!

A 0.250" male Faston tab connector may be inserted into an unused fuse location for power. The wire would then have an in-line fuse for protection.
