Hi There,

Currently we have 1997 Boxster and the top does not go down. The white plastic ball ends on the push arms have broken off. We use Alldata online for our information system. The procedure was not to clear to me in Alldata, so I just want to make sure I am going to install the new push arms the proper way. First I would unlatch the conv top, but leave it loose at the windshield. Second I would use the conv roof switch to move the deck lid all the way back . Next I would go to the rear of the conv roof. I would lift the bottom of roof so the bottom tension bow would touch the main tension bow above the plastic window. Then I would Install the new push arms.

Is what I have said above correct? Also the new push arms have bolt in the middle which allows the new push arm to slide back and forth. At what position would I tighten this small bolt? We are also getting new rubber bushings which go around the hex bolt . The power switch for the conv roof does move the rear deck lid.I have moved the conv roof by hand it semms to move fine with no problems. We had look at the car on Monday the 12th and the parts are coming on Wenesday the 14th. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Gord

Please post pictures of the parts and what you did to repair it if you could. I'm struggling with a broken convertible top as well. Thanks.
