Ok sorry i know everyone must ask the same thing i did a search but didnt find anything. I have a 2000 911 cab. Does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to change the oil? I usually do my own maint but when i called around to get pricing its over 200 dollars to change the oil im just curious why? Is there something special that needs to be done? When i got under the car i see the oil filter and the alen plug that needs to be removed and it seems to be very straight forward. Is there any trick to it? A mechanic told me a while back that they had to remove a bunch of stuff on the 911 to get to the filters ect is this true?

You'll need a special oil change tool, availabe on line or at your Dealer as well a metric socket set, but other than that, it is pretty staight forward. I changed the oil on my 996TT a few months ago and the instructions in the DIY section were very helpful.

Good luck
