Boxster S Windows Drop on their own

Recommended Posts

Help- looked out of my window this morning to see both windows had dropped right down on my Boxster S, of course it had been raining (UK) so plenty of water in the cab. The alarm hadn't gone off, it hadn't been driven for 2 weeks, my barometer shows a real pressure drop (could this be a cause)

Any Ideas (Please)?

Not tried it yet but I need to stick a piece of tape over the micro switch to help it engage- the faults known as Ferries Ghost

Thanks Loren for pointing me in the righ direction

  • 1 year later...

I appear to be having the same issue... Only my alarm goes off when they go down on their own.. VERY annoying! It means I can't lock my car.. It seems to happen randomly every 4-6 hours, If there is a quick fix (something about taping a micro switch) could someone please elaborate (Loren?). Which micro switch? and where does it live? Thanks for any help in advance! :D

Komplex I tried everything before and it would save you time hooking up to a PST2 or similar as Loren suguests. On my 2001 S it was caused by the door lock which eventually failed shut.
