I'm new to the P-car. I just purchased a C4 a little over a month ago. Should this be done when I change the engine oil?

No, not at an oil change but a transmission oil change. Porsche says 90,000 miles in their recommended maintenance.

Remove underside panels to access the front wheel drive.

What do you use to undo the rectangular metal clips on the panel? Or do you just carefully pull down on the panel after the four corner bolts are removed and they pop off?

On the metal clips there is a little tab on the sides, just push in a flat bladed screw driver and pry to the center of the clip. They will pop off. If you have the plastic clips, the same applies, but there is a slot on each side you pry, be prepared to replace them as they get brittle with age.

That simple huh, no need to push the tabs on the ends in or anything?...I tried prying it but with only a little force as I was worried about breaking something, I'll try again.

I attached a photo, for other people that may wonder what I'm talking about.

dude...plug B is almost impossible to take off using a socket..it's butted up right against the top of the underbody. Tried using a standard wrench and rounded one corner:( Thats a real bugger. Any tips?
