I brought my 2000 S in to the dealership a couple months ago with a CEL and the 1128 and 1130 codes and they replaced the MAF. They told me to drive it some because there also may be bad O2 sensors, but when they installed the MAF the codes cleared so they didn't replace the O2 sensors. After a couple days the CEL came back on with the same 1128 and 1130 codes. I have also read that intake vacuum leaks and/or cracked oil filler tube, poorly seated oil filler cap, and torn air/oil separator bellows tube can cause these codes. I was thinking about giving the mechanic this list of stuff to check, but do not want to seem like an idiot. He is the Porsche mechanic and he should check this stuff, right?

What would you do?

I am having the same codes P1128 and P1130, in addition to P0446 (See thread below on CEL P0446) . Had a Porsche technician checked out the car last week, he seems to think that the air-oil separator is leaking since there were "puddles" of oil on top of engine block. Did not find any oil leak spot from oil filler tube. I will be replacing the air-oil separator this evening and find out if this cures the CEL.

It went in yesterday and the service rep was cocksure that it was the O2 sensors. I asked him to check the oil filler tube and bellows also. Sure enough, he called me back this afternoon and said that the bellows was trashed.
