After months of research and feedback from all members, I decided to go with the RUF design front bumper for my 02 Cab. Here's how it look afterward.

The kit came with 3 air scoops. I only fab a sheet of ABS in front of the hood to cover all the pipes and hoses.

The RUF kit was bought from Weissach (very nice people) for $2300 and my buddy's body shop paint it for $400. It took him a little while to perfectly match the paint, I brought my old bumper and left it with him. He had at least 4 coats of Speed Yellow and 3 coats of Clear Coat. While the bumper being painted, I took the time and cleaned out the radiators and fender liners.

It does look very, very nice. But wow, at $2700 for a bumper cover, you better hope you don't "bump" anything with it or drive where there are rocks, dirt, sand, or aerosols might strike the bumper surface either! It would be a shame if it got chipped.

Speaking of that, does anyone knows of a good clear bra that can be applied to protect the paint from chipping? For now the car just sits in the garage until the paint is 100% cured. Miss taking her out.

3M Clear protective invisible bra is probably the best. The only thing is that nowadays they have precut patterns for specific cars/bumpers. For example on my 03 turbo, it came with the hood, front bumper, fenders, Xenons, rear of front fender behind wheel, and mirrors as a kit. It was a total of $1.1K installed.

Thnx Alex, very nice car. I spoke to a few shops here in O.C. and you're right about the precut paterns, most of them said that it can't be done on a custom cover like RUF or TechArt etc.... Guess I better stay way behind those big trucks for now.

It looks better than stock.

Is that black piece 'in front of' the hood - is that the piece which you made out of abs? Or do you have an aftermarket hood?

Actually the hood is stock, the RUF bumper came with the grill similar to the GT2 that sits in front of the hood. I only fab a piece of ABS underneath it to cover up all of the hoses and the yellow frame.
