I just bought a '99 C2 coupe manual. It didn't come with any documentation and I bought it at auction so how can I tell what suspension it has? It seems to have huge gaps in the wheel wells.

There should be an option list sticker on the underside of the front trunk. Write the numbers down then look them up on the option code lookup tables here. If you don't see option 030 (sport suspension) then you have a stock suspension.

Loren,

Do you know if all 2002 996 C4S's come with the M030 suspension? I checked my option code sticker and M030 isn't listed.

Thanks

Thanks Loren, guess I have the M030. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on this "adding H & R springs to the M030" debate.

I have Mo30 suspension with H&R springs, for street use is a litle harsh and somewhat bounces more, but its great for DE, my car really sticks very good and is very settle when turning, the only thing is that on our track in Cameron County, TX, is an old airport and we have very long straights were you can hit over 130 mph before braking for a turn or a sweeper, I have noticed that when braking on a uneven concrete track with H&R's the ABS reacts or better said overreacts and if you hit the brakes hard it takes much longer to brake than if you apply them slowly and avoid the ABS to come in. I guess the harder suspension and uneven track makes the ABS computer a litle crazy.

I have H&R on my Boxster(MY00), and I really enjoy the comfort and handling of the suspension...no complaints from me.
