I just had the Option 666 Telephone Module system installed in my 06 C2S Cab yesterday. The system works really well and is extremely intuitive with good voice quality and clarity.

The issue I have is that the sounds comes out only from the right front speaker, is this the way it is supposed to function? Even with this set-up, the sound is still very good and resonates well within the car. I was just curious if anyone who has the option from the factory or installed at the dealer has the same set-up.

Thx,

can you add the option later.  just got a 997s and might want to try.

Sure you can. I did on my 05 987. $4400.00 total for it and the cost of a CDC-4 and the labor to install it. Most expensive cell I've bought yet. Great tool however.

I too had mine installed by the dealer on my 06 Carrera S Cabrio two months after I took delivery. The cost for the equipment was roughly $1700 for the equipment and $600 for the install.

I am having the nav installed at the dealer later this month, and was thinking of adding the 666 option, but I am also reading the "porsche Cell solution" in the Tequipment booklet. Is that something different from the 666 option, just a hands free kit that works with the PCM, but does noting with the PCm buttons? The photos show what looks to be a treo phone, which I have. If you have the 666 you dont need this right?, but If you get the 666 you get all the buttons on the PCM working right.
