MY2003 Targa 6speed RHD UK

When indicating left my stalk switch stays on until I switch it off, or when indicating right I have to hold the stalk in the up position otherwise it bounces back to the middle.

I have taken off the Column Shrouds and a piece of black plastic fell out of the Stalk Switch Assembly-- but I cannot see where it came from exactly, although there is a rough edge to it where it has snapped off from its parent part.

I want to fix it myself as Porsche will want £££££££ off me for doing it.

My questions are: is this realistically achievable? And is it a Steering Wheel & Airbag off job?

Anyone out there able to help me, or has anyone had this happen and got it fixed and did it cost the earth?

Thanks!

Like to see a picture of the broken piece.

It is not hard to replace the steering column switch assembly. Air bag and steering wheel needs to come off. We do this when we retrofit the OBC because we replace the 3 stalk switch with a 4 stalk switch.

If you only have a 3 stalk switch you might want to replace it with a 4 stalk and do the OBC retrofit. The 4 stalk switch cost less than a 3 stalk for some strange reason.
