Anyone have a similar problem? When I first put down either window I hear a click/pop sound when the window reaches the bottom. Typically it will not do it twice in a row, which will make it hard to figure out what the cause is or how to fix it.

Any ideas?

I believe what happens here is the screw for the stop gets loose and when the window hits it, it pops. Some of the stops are riveted and some are held in with a screw(I think in the boxster the stop is riveted). Either way, a new window regulator would fix this. Or you could remove the door panel and have a look under the door skin at the screw on the stop and see if its loose. You might be able to tighten the screw and stop the noise. If the car is under warranty take it to a dealer and you'll get a new window regulator.

Warranty ended this Sept. Do you have the instructions for the door panel removal and part # for any clips that may become damaged during the process?

Ah, a 986? Most of us 987 guys are just plain lazy and take it to the dealer for this type of stuff. Guess we won't get very technical until we're in your boat w/ an out of warranty vehicle.
