I have the "red" oil light flashing on the dash- can someone tell me the oil type I should add - '99 Porsche Boxster.

If you check your Owner's Manual, I am sure it will recommend 5W-40, or 5W-50.

You should be able to get that oil from Castrol, Mobil, Pentosin. Was that the information you were asking?

when you say your bar lights are "down one", do you mean one bar below the minimum mark? if this is the case, just add some (little bit at a time) until you're within the bars. you'll be fine anywhere in there.

also, while it may depend on temperatures where you live, the dealership here (nashville) recommends Mobile 1 0W-40.
