O.K. after reading through some of the problems, mine dosen't seem to fit neatly with any that i've seen described, so here we go:

After getting my 98 Boxster back from the mechanic for an electrical short problem( that was fun, the window/inside light fuse kept blownig for no reason and they "think" they found a short) the first time i was going to put the top down i turned on the key put the brake on unlocked the top and "PRESTO" the top went down by itself, i didn't have to push the "top down button" it just went down when i unlocked the top??????go figure. SOOOOOOO after a ride around town i got ready to put the top up and the clamshell opens slightly but then closes back. After reading some posts i looked at the height of each side and yes the left side goes up about 3 inches and the right about 1 inch before the top goes back down on its own. I don't hear any bad noises(thats good i hope) and you cant hold the convet button and make it work, you just push the button and let go and the top goes up a few inches and the right back down..........Well TOOL PANTS what do you fellas think???? :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

After i put the top up manually i noticed that i dont have any RED ball connectors i only have white and black.......does this mean that mine have already been replaced???

THANKS!!
