Hi gus,

I have a 99 C4. A friend just updated the suspension on his 03 turbo. Can I use his springs, shocks, and ttorsionbar links? How can I tell what suspension I have on my car? It feals rreallysoft, so my guess would be that it is just plain, basic stock, but I would like to know. Also, what is good resource to check for aavailablesuspension set ups for the C4 (Porsche and aftermarket).

Thank you in advance

Look on the sticker under the hood and then decode those numbers somewhere around here on the internet. I know the 030 is the US sport suspension, which I have, and it is not soft.

I seriously doubt you could re-use his suspension. His is a heavier car with all the turbo stuff. And I haven't heard that many good things about the stock turbo suspension anyway.

To research suspensions, do searches on the Euro 030 and PSS9 and something like the X74 (or X73)...

I have a C4 and i agree, soft as heck stock. I went with PSS9's and sways and it is solid as a rock. No sway, excellent handling.

FYI......X73 and 74 will NOT work for his 99. The X73 is for an 02+ wide body (C4S or TT) and the X74 is for an 02+ narrow body.

Factory his options are USM030 or RoWM030 (best)

Aftermarket his options are much greater (PSS9's, H&R, Caragraphic, Gemballa, etc, etc, etc)
