I just purchased a Porsche 2000 911 996 Manual Cabriolet and when the battery was changed, my radio screen asked for a code and then said WAIT.  How do i fix this to get my radio working again?

From the Lost Radio Code FAQ...

"I get a WAIT on the display - what do I do?
You have to wait at least 30 minutes before trying again."

Your radio is made by Becker. This model requires the PIN code once unplugged. Look in your Owner's Manual pouch it should be a credit card-size Becker card with a 4-digit PIN or if a prev. owner has written it somewhere. If you got your pup from an individual and not a dealership/resellers you can call the person and ask if he remembers the PIN for the radio? Alternate option you can pull the ratio out and there is a sticker with a serial number. Check on eBay if there is a service to pull the Becker PIN by the S/N. It used to be a girl some time ago she was pulling it like in 5' for $30 or so.

Once you entered an incorrect PIN, you need to WAIT for 10'. I think it's 10, not 30.
